EfferCept SG is a sanitizing pre- and post-milking teat dip formulated to support milk quality, udder health, and mastitis prevention in dairy cattle herds. The concentrated effervescent tablet system combines sanitizing performance with teat conditioning to help maintain healthy teat skin while reducing exposure to mastitis-causing pathogens.
EfferCept SG helps control a broad spectrum of mastitis-causing organisms commonly found in dairy cattle environments and milking systems. According to manufacturer information, EfferCept SG is effective against organisms including: E. coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus uberis, Streptococcus agalactiae, Klebsiella species, Mycoplasma species, and Pseudomonas species.
Unlike traditional liquid teat dips, EfferCept SG tablets dissolve directly into potable water on-farm, allowing dairy producers to mix only the amount needed. The tablets are easy to store, simple to transport, and eliminate the hassle of handling heavy barrels or totes.
The SoftGuard “SG” conditioning system helps soften and protect teat skin while supporting overall teat health. The near-neutral pH formulation is designed to be non-corrosive, non-caustic, and non-irritating when used as directed.
EfferCept SG can be used with foam additives to improve foaming action and teat coverage during application. Add EfferCept Foam Additive for additional teat conditioning and enhanced foam performance.
