The Large Blood and Ear Notch Sample Collection Kit provides the supplies needed to collect and submit up to 100 blood or ear notch samples for laboratory testing. This kit is commonly used by dairy and beef producers for BVD testing, BLV testing, Johne’s disease testing, Pregnancy ELISA testing, A1/A2 testing, and other herd health and diagnostic testing programs.

Each Large Kit includes:

  • Sample submission form
  • Prepaid shipping box addressed to the laboratory
  • Need to submit fewer samples? Producers testing individual animals or smaller groups may prefer the Small Blood Sample Collection Kit, which includes supplies for up to 10 samples.
  • Each Large Blood and Tissue Sample Collection Kit includes supplies for up to 100 samples.
    • For blood: 100 vacuum vials, 100 double sided needles, 1 needle holder. Select the quantity of each vile type based on tests selected.
    • For tissue: 100 vacuum vials. Ear notcher sold separately.
