Description
The Vink Calf Puller is engineered to provide controlled mechanical assistance during calf delivery when natural calving progress slows or stops. Its rump-frame design securely anchors the system to the cow’s rear, helping maintain consistent positioning throughout the delivery process.
Commonly used during calving emergencies, assisted deliveries, and difficult presentations, the Vink Calf Puller is designed to reduce risk, improve control, and support better outcomes during one of the most critical moments in herd management.
Once ropes are attached to the calf’s legs, the lever mechanism allows the handler to apply steady traction. This design supports a more natural pull direction—helping align force with the cow’s anatomy and reducing unnecessary strain.
Basic use steps:
- Position the rump-frame securely over the cow’s hindquarters
- Attach ropes to the calf’s front legs (or as directed by calving protocol)
- Engage the pulling mechanism slowly and in sync with contractions
- Adjust pulling direction for presentation (normal or posterior)
- Use the quick-release function if complications arise
The system is designed to allow controlled, incremental pulling and immediate release when needed, giving producers more control during unpredictable calving situations. Replacement parts sold separately.
